Frac Sand Products
American Silica's East Cave City quarry has over 80 million tons of proven reserves of ordavacian sand - commonly referred to as St. Peters sandstone, or within the oil and gas industry as northern white sand. Our reserves yield three grades of processed sand - 30/50 mesh, 40/70 mesh, and 100 mesh.
Our products have been sampled extensively by PropTester and Stim-Lab, which are both industry recognized material testing organizations. All individual tests met or exceeded the applicable API standard. Shown below are the averages from these tests which exceed the applicable API standards that have been set for their use as a proppant in the process known as hydraulic fracturing.
